I have had the pleasure of working closely with Alison over the last year and a half assisting her in building her team’s capacity and strengthening the team’s value based leadership style. Alison’s skill of motivating and leading her team and organization through the pandemic is remarkable and the impact has been significant. I had the pleasure of Co-Chairing Organizations for Health Action (HEAL) a coalition of over 40 national health organizations dedicated to improving the health of Canadians and the quality of care they receive for the past year. A dedicated and visionary health leader, Alison has amazing political acumen and understanding of the healthcare system. She is a gifted communicator and leads with compassion. I have seen first hand how strategic, collaborative and dedicated she is in all her work. It was a privilege working alongside Alison as HEAL Co-Chairs.

I had the pleasure of working closely with Alison on a Customer Experience training program for her team during COVID. Alison is an intuitive, creative thinker and leader with high standards. During COVID, when everyone was shutting down, Alison took the lead and encouraged her team to take bold risks during this uncertain time. Believing that her customers needed to be the top priority, she quickly focused and grew the online community which proved to be a lifeline for the membership. Alison takes a “coach approach” in her leadership that is filled with passion, empathy, and kindness. She has high standards and challenges her team and others to bring their best to everything they do.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Alison for years in a number of capacities. She is a strong, dedicated leader with vast experience in the healthcare realm. Her unique ability to establish, develop and manage collaborative relationships among key partners would be an asset in any organization or initiative. Alison is a highly accomplished CEO and a highly respected leader within the chiropractic community. Since joining the CCA, she has transformed the profile of the organisation and, arguably, the chiropractic profession in Canada. A strong advocate of collaborative care, Alison has been instrumental in bringing national associations together to advance chiropractic as an evidence-based, patient-centred profession. Ms. Dantas is one of the most dedicated, hard- working and committed individuals I have ever met! In addition, Ms. Dantas is personable and kind – such important attributes in the workforce today.

I’ve had the honour of working with Alison (note the use of “with” versus “for”, it’s her style) since 2015. Challenging years with lots of headwinds. Alison’s courage, change management skills, her fearless advocacy for the purpose of the orgs she has led, but above all her vision for what can be, all come together in an individual whose warmth is perfectly captured in her famous salutations at the end of any email “In health, Alison”. I’m a fan.

Having had the opportunity to work with Alison on several national health coalitions, I have witnessed the strength of her leadership in establishing common threads, often within environments of strong differences, and weaving them into a unified voice for change. Alison is a unifier that steps up into leadership positions to ensure the priorities of the organization she represents are reflected within the advocacy priorities of coalitions.

Alison is a brilliant Executive Coach who will challenge you and your organization to reach for your unthinkable potential. As a leader she will take you where you may not imagine you could get.

Alison has been the CEO of the CCA for a number of years and has guided the profession through one of the most challenging times ever faced…the global Covid pandemic. Despite the challenges, Alison and her team at the CCA office, as well as our CCA Board of Directors, have established connections for PPE, created on line learning opportunities, stayed connected with government on a federal level and have kept all of the members across Canada ‘Chiro Strong’ !!! Well done Alison!! Thank you for all you have done for the profession.
